Sea caves on Sand Island, visible from shore, which is unusual. Normally you need to be in a boat.
Just some tall grass at our camp site, but I thought it was pretty.
Tony setting out from Sand Island on our way to Bear Island. His boat is a Dagger Cortez, a 16.5-foot sea kayak. Being long and narrow, it goes straight and fast very well. My boat is a Perception Carolina, a 14-foot sea kayak. Being shorter and a little wider, it's not as fast as Tony's boat, but a little more stable, for which I was extremely thankful in some of the waters we'd get into in the next three days.
